Ontario’s proposed “Open for Business” legislation is a disappointing repudiation of Premier Doug Ford’s promise not to touch the Greenbelt, threatens drinking water for all Ontarians, undermines evidence-based city planning, and removes protection from toxics chemicals for Ontario residents. These important protections have been put in place for the safety of Ontarians now and in the future.
We don't want provinicial intervention in development. As a resident of the Oak Ridges Moraine area, I believe it is my duty and privilege to participate in protecting this important Green Belt Area.
We and our grandchild need natural spaces, farmland, and safe drinking water.
