I don't agree that any exemptions from the Environmental Bill of Rights for the purposes outlined below.

"The proposed legislation provides an exemption from Part II of the Environmental Bill of Rights, 1993, which includes requirements for giving public notice and opportunities for comment, for proposals for provincial permits and approvals related to the Ontario Place redevelopment project, or that further the project (i.e., not at the site)."

Not only is this a request to ignore parts of a environmental bill that was instituted for a reason in the first place, it also doesn't allow for public to be given notice or even have an opportunity to comment or participate.

The blanket use of the last sentence is also unacceptable. With this kind of permission, it says that any work in connection to Ontario Place, even if it's not part of the site itself, would also be included in these exemptions. It would be inexcusable to allow for such open wording and allowances.

Sincerely,

A Concerned Citizen of Ontario
