Canada is the largest land mass on the planet, with one of the smallest populations. It seems unfathomable at a time when the planet is facing climate crisis, and loss of critical species everywhere that we have to give the upper hand to building developers who are driven by profit, in a nation with the largest land mass, that our government can't balance these two critical demands - at the expense of nature and endangered species. lt is very clear that this proposal empowers government to maintain a strong upper hand and eradicate any strength the ECA and organizations instituted to protect wildlife and species may have had. If this proposal were to be legislated, any protection of endangered species organizations will be entirely hand-cuffed, where at the same time the builders and developers will be entirely facilitated to run amok across the province of Ontario. I do not support this bill in any way.
