Hi, I've only recently learned about this bill and as a citizen of Ontario, I'm very concerned about the impact of this bill. In particular, I completely disagree with the removal of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and replacing it with the Species Conservation Act which is completely voluntary. We live in a time of unprecedented environmental change, and we should be doing more to take care of environment, not strip it of it's current productions in the name of "unleashing our economy".

Our economy relies heavily on natural resources and being short-sighted with how we manage those for short-term development and gain is immensely irresponsible in my opinion. I want my government to do better in terms of thinking innovatively about how we can manage infrastructure in Ontario in a way that cares for the place we live in, not just extracts from it.

Voluntary regulations around environmental assessment and permits are not robust and I do not think these are a reliable mechanism for the government to rely on.
