As someone who believes in our world, or at least our country having a full and glorious future, I recognize how important the ESA is.
We as a people have intelligence to think on what we are doing, and have hands to help those around us. Animals are absolutely included in that.
The "Slow and Complex" way we do things now prevents mistakes from happening. We are allowing ourselves the time to ensure building locations won't harm our protected flora and fauna.
Is a condo, or a block of houses truly worth the potential extinction of entire species? I don't think it is.
Because removing the checks and balances which make the ESA what it is will absolutely lead to the destruction and removal these habitats and the wildlife that live in them. It will be robbing us today, and robbing our future of them. Programs like the ESA and how it is help preserve the uniqueness which exists. Preserve the variety our world has. Its beauty.
Do not allow the protections within the ESA to be swept away. Allow it to thrive just as much as the wildlife it's supposed to protect.
