We are in a biodiversity crisis. Ontarians have been working hard for decades to keep Ontario beautiful and wild. Removing protections for species at risk is a short-sighted mistake. It erases decades of work and will also cause a trickle-down effect in natural ecosystems leading to worsened game and sport fishing, degraded water, and much more. A stark, but scientifically and historically proven warning: this will come back to bite us.
