This potential change in the endangered species act is a poor excuse for economic gain. The new proposals rule out any consideration for future acts of conservation and only look at how large corporations can gain a profit. There is no consideration for conservation efforts to be made, no actual protection of species that require preservation, and no potential proposals to assist in improving habitats that have already been damaged by careless acts of destruction. This new Bill should not be passed. It does not read like it was created by someone in the field of ecology, conservation, or any zoological sciences.
