Absolutely not. No. Address the housing crisis by connecting maximum rent permitted to the median wage within a 30 minute drive. Impose residency requirements so condos aren’t bought up my real estate speculators and turned into short-term rentals. Increase tax on second and third (and more) homes. Destroying our environment—the beautiful nature and diverse species that make Ontario so special—is not the way to go, and frankly, couching it under a “protect Ontario” banner is manipulative and morally bankrupt.
The only people who benefit from this are construction companies and property management firms, not the average Ontarian. I am vehemently opposed to this proposal.
