Please do not go forward with the proposed changes. As a wildlife biologist who has been working with Species at Risk for 5 years, I can confirm that these changes would have negative consequences for my study species. Turtles use migration habitat between wetlands on many many occasions over the summer but under the new ESA this land would lose protection. My job would also change and I may not have as many career opportunities. I care about our Ontarian species so much and they deserve more protections, not less.
