Whatever is being proposed must have the agreement of the Indigenous groups it affects and take into account the destruction of the land, wildlife habitat, and pollution into the water bodies, soil, and air. Until proper protections are in place and enforced and Indigenous peoples consulted and health effects properly assessed, this shouldn’t go ahead.
