My concerns and comments are as follows: 1. The mine is to be located totally underground, with tailings disposal underground as well. However, this still calls for a rigorous assessment of the environmental impacts to the subsurface, including permafrost and subsurface hydrogeology. Read more

The Eagle’s Nest mine project's new project scope should undergo a comprehensive environmental assessment. The project scope has changed significantly since 2015, nevertheless , the company agreed to a comprehensive environmental assessment and it should be completed. Read more

I call for this proposal to be withdrawn. An EA of the Eagle's Nest Mine must proceed. If passed, Bill 5 would: * Terminate the environmental assessment for Eagle’s Nest mine - a proposed mining project in Treaty 9 lands, part of the proposed Ring of Fire. Read more

To me, this proposal would unjustifiably elimiate an environmental assessment, which thus eliminates a comprehensive assessment of the project's potential impacts and risks to water, wildlife, and human health, among other factors. Read more
