Ontario is home to unique ecosystems and species many of whom are under threat. Global warming is undeniable iso it is irresponsible to give carte blanche to development. There are plenty of places to infill within urban boundaries. Build up and more densely. Convert commercial space that will never be used for offices again into housing (with home office soundproofing for remote workers). That would provide needed housing while keeping the downtown cores vital and thriving. The last thing we need is more sprawl. Our delicate ecosystems are already under pressure we need to keep green space green and capitalize on infrastructure already established. The insurance corporations predict escalating environmental disasters so we are misguided if we destabilize our green spaces, forests and wetlands further.
Thank you for your consideration
