I urge the Ontario government to withdraw Bill 5. This bill significantly weakens environmental protections, particularly for endangered species, and undermines Indigenous rights. The proposed changes could lead to irreversible damage to our ecosystems and a violation of Indigenous treaties and rights. We must protect our natural resources and respect the rights of all Ontarians, including Indigenous communities, by rejecting this bill. We must protect our environment for future generations and stop putting short term profits over people. This is a gross over reach by this government to use the threat of tariffs to bulldoze through protections that have been put into place for good reasons. This Bill should not go through.
