I oppose Bill 5 and the proposed repeal of Ontario's Endangered Species Act.
As an Ontarian, I do not support industry shortcuts that bypass public oversight or accountability. These changes put species at greater risk and prioritize profit over long-term environmental health.
I also oppose the idea of "special economic zones" where laws can be overridden. This creates dangerous loopholes that undermine democratic decision-making and environmental justice.
I support strong, science-based environmental protections for endangered species and their habitats.
Ontario's wildlife and ecosystems need stronger protections-not weaker ones. Please withdraw this proposal and prioritize ecological responsibility over economic expediency.
