I am opposed to these changes. Conservation experts are extremely concerned about this legislative change. While the streamlining of building permits is a worthy cause, removing permits altogether is a drastic change in how we protect species. Building first and asking questions later means that we cannot prevent irreversible damage to endangered species - only sanction the harms. We need a pro-housing policy that streamlines permitting without removing it, and takes endangered species protection seriously. This policy isn't it.
