No longer protecting wildlife from "harassment" is an oversight. Wildlife experience stress differently than humans. When you are constantly living in survival mode energy consumption is key. Causing undue stress to wildlife, often in ways currently refered to as "harassment" may result in energy consumption that can negatively impact animal health and wellbeing.

Broad definitions of habitat are important because how different species use habitat changes vastly. We need broad definitions because we are hoping to protect a broad range of wildlife and habitat uses.

Allowing the government to list and unlist species as they see fit undermines the integrity of the act. The purpose of a third party independent committee to perform this function ensures that species receive proper status regardless of the political agenda of those in power. The protection of wildlife is too important and risks too long term to be decided upon by politicians alone.
