Creating and implementing legislation that removes controls, checks and balances is simply a power grab that removes transparency and allows for unethical activity to go unchecked. This government has already broken promises made to the people of Ontario and has had to backtrack on several initiatives started (at a cost to the Ontario taxpayers of course). Endangered species are such due to uncontrolled activities that have decimated their environments --allowing this to continue without any monitoring or process will be even more devastating while under the guise of "progress". Damaging the environment in the name of progress is not worth the price it will cost -- climate change is real (check with the insurance companies --they are blatantly calling it out) and will continue to change in the wrong direction. The Doug Ford government has made multiple promises to protect Ontario --that should include the people AND the land AND everything on it. What it should not include is enriching donors and friends pretending to "move things forward".
