Getting rid of endangered species act is a terrible idea. If we don’t protect endangered species, entire ecosystems can collapse because every creature plays a role in maintaining balance. When one species disappears, food chains break and the effects ripple through nature including to us. We also risk losing vital medicines that come from plants and animals, many of which we have yet to discover. Healthy ecosystems help fight climate change, so losing species weakens our earth. In the end, protecting biodiversity isn’t just about saving animals, it’s about saving ourselves.
