This is an obvious attempt to bulldoze environmental protections. The goal is nakedly to allow destructive activities, only upon later review to discover "oopsie that was bad for the environment, oh well." Review after the fact is no safeguard at all, as this government is no doubt well aware - that is the intent. Will we slap companies with a small fine for destroying the environment when it turns out their registered activity was harmful? How is that "Protecting Ontario"?
If you're going to go through with this bill at least name it honestly. I propose "Destroying Ontario to Benefit My Rich Friends".
