I strongly oppose these changes to the Endangered Species Act. I think it’s important to have these environmental safeguards in place to protect ecosystems whose destruction could have unintentional consequences. It’s important to have enough exposed soil to soak up rainwater and prevent flooding. Plus it guts democratic input from the local community who would be affected by unencumbered construction. It sets a dangerous precedent. Sprawl is not the answer. Nor is building a mega-spa. And the destruction of pristine green spaces is not worth it to have them.
