I think the current policy is satisfactory and Ontario should keep the same policy that has worked in the past. These changes opens the door to a slippery slope of narrowing protections/definitions and the scope of the legislation, which should not be the goal of any modifications made by the government. We need more protections for species and the environment in this age, not less or a more narrow one. The species and resources Ontario is home to is what makes it special and a great place to live, play, and for others to visit. We need to continue to protect them as much as possible.
