I urge you to please reconsider Bill 5 and instead focus on maintaining strong environmental laws that prevent extinction and preserve Ontario’s natural heritage. Bill 5 threatens the safety of our wildlife at a time when we need to be doing absolutely everything we can to protect the biodiversity of our environment. Please listen to the scientists and environmental experts who are vocally expressing their concerns about the potential irreversible damage that Bill 5 could cause. We are already experiencing the devastating effects of climate change during forest fire season, and we should be strengthening our environmental protections regarding animal habitats across this province rather than repealing them. We only have this one planet, and the animals and wildlife that share the earth with us rely on us to protect them because they can't speak up for themselves. Please do the right thing.
