I oppose the replacement of the Endangered Species Act with weakened legislation as the proposed weakened legislation will accelerate extinction of not only endangered species, but all life. A governing body truly concerned about the health of its constituents would understand that the health of the people is entirely dependent on the health of the environment. I am surprised that with such a wide body of knowledge and research on interconnectedness and the importance of biodiversity that a proposal of this kind would even be put forward. I do hope that the voices of wise individuals are heard and biodiversity will remain protected to support both endangered species and all surrounding life.
