I am a resident of Ontario…

I am a resident of Ontario and I vehemently oppose Bill 5. I oppose short cuts for industry with no public oversight or accountability. This places industry and corporations and the government of Ontario above all of the people of Ontario, the environment, and our future. I want stronger environmental and endangered species protections. It is the job of the provincial government to work in the interest of the people and environment above all - our health, our children, our safety, and our ability to have a future existence. I oppose overwriting the law in special economic zones. I oppose leaving no legal recourse for the people of Ontario to hold industry and the government accountable for their actions. If this piece of legislation passes it will be damaging to the people of this province, to the people of Canada, the environment and the future. It is an embarrassment on the Canadian stage and the world stage, and this government will never live down this legacy of unbridled greed and corruption should it pass.
