Who in their right mind thinks its okay to put a mega landfill on a flood zone, above critical well water sources and 1km from a town?! Dresden was promised a full environmental assessment and tariffs are an unethical excuse.
Ridge landfill still has capacity and if this situation is so dire, fast track land on the right clay source (Dresden is absolutely not the right type in this case). Taking advantage of a spot that hasn't been used for anything but fly ash and a wood lot is beyond baffling! If not for the outdated permissions that has never had a full EA done...No one would allow this to be done and this is extremely irresponsible to think it is any kind of a good thing.
Bill 5 is awful and overreaching. People have the right to say no to mega dumps on their back steps (1km literally).
