I realize that we need to be more self sufficient as a country. If Covid didn’t teach us this Tump is finishing the lesson. However I don’t agree with the loss of endangered species and habitats. Losing critical species and habitats will have detrimental consequences on our ecosystem as a whole. I find the idea about fast tracking large developments disturbing especially due to the favouritism shown by government to certain developers. Will government and developers collude at the expense of species and ecosystem? Checks must be in place to protect the environment from development pushing through without proper oversight and creating long lasting detrimental consequences on our environment.
