The Greenbelt is not for sale!!!!!!
If you want remove "red-tape" for businesses, that's fine. But the ambiguous language in this bill makes it sound like municipalities can override protections for the Greenbelt and other environmental protections. You need to re-write this language so it is clear that those protections are not up for debate.
Toronto and other Ontario communities are facing increasing costs from flooding and other climate related issues and removing those protections -- and our green space -- only increases the burden on the taxpayer and decreases the quality of our cities for future generations.
Considering your government ran on fiscal responsibility -- you sure seem to be wasting a lot of money on fighting a losing battle against the global trend of better environmental stewardship.
