As a Torontonian since 1976 and a proud member of the Turtle Protector’s/ Mishiikenh Gizhaasowin : specifically located along the Humber river;
I strongly oppose this changed to the endangered species act.
It is my opinion ; this change of proposal is utterly shocking and unacceptable in our current climate crisis.
The proposed change to endangered species act is discriminatory towards :Indigenous Leaders and our Families / volunteers in the community who work effortlessly to save what endangered turtles and existing wildlife along the Humber river.
I invite the Members of the Environmental Registry to take a walk along this magnificent river to see exactly what is going on.
