The proposed changes to the Endangered Species act seem to be focused not on protecting our endangered species and environmen, but on making it easier for construction companies and corporations to develop land and turn a profit. Ontario has many valuable environments, including wetlands and the Carolinian forests, that are already over developed and the species living there at risk. Many of the species that most need protection, such as birds, reptiles, and insects will be heavily affected by sweeping changes to the Endangered Species Act. As a lifelong citizen of Ontario who loves exploring the forests and wetlands near my home, I vehemently oppose these changes to the Endangered Species Act and ask that you think about the environment and animals that live in our great province instead of making money.
1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
