I am absolutely appalled by Ontario’s proposal to cull endangered species under the guise of streamlining development. This is not just short-sighted—it’s morally indefensible. Our endangered species are already hanging by a thread, and now the province wants to make it even easier for developers, who already enjoy near-limitless freedom, to push them closer to extinction?
The government should be protecting these vulnerable species, not making it more convenient to destroy their habitats for profit. This move blatantly prioritizes corporate greed over ecological responsibility and public interest. Once these species are gone, they’re gone forever—and no amount of development will bring them back.
We need stronger protections, not fewer. Ontario must reverse this disgraceful course and put real conservation above short-term gains.
