As a Torontonian since 1976, and a proud member of the Turtle Protectors ( Mishiikenh Gizhaasowin) I strongly oppose this proposed change to the endangered species act.
It is my opinion that this change of proposal is utterly shocking and unacceptable in our current global climate crisis.
Our endangered turtle relatives and fragile ecosystem along the humber river need our support and protection more than ever.
The proposed change to endangered species act is discriminatory towards
our: Indigenous Leaders, Families and volunteers in the community who work effortlessly to save our endangered turtles and existing wildlife along our treasured Humber River.
I invite Members of the Environmental Registry to take a walk along this magnificent river to see exactly what is going on.
