Beach areas1& 2 should remain under Provincial jurisdiction. That way the care and patrol of the beaches is under one organization. The province does a great job of looking after the whole beach. By switching certain areas to the town it will just cause confusion in regards to who to contact if there is a problem. Also beach area 1 is a nesting area for plovers so why would this be put under the towns control. The Ministry of Tourism can still market the area as a destination without the town controlling the actual beach. Also it takes away the two largest parking areas from the worlds longest freshwater beach. People buy a provincial pass so they can visit the beach and explore Wasaga, I don't need to be paying the town and the province.
