The Wasaga Beach, Beach area 1,2, New Wasaga and Allenwood Beach should be remain the responsibility of Ontario Provincial Parks, to ensure consistent maintenance and preservation of natural habitat such as bird nesting. Today, it's clear that Ontario Parks maintains these properties and the park rules consistently apply. When Beach Area 1 & 2 are transferred to the Town of Wasaga Beach there'll be visitor confusion regarding rules and the enforcement of rules. There'll be this invisible line in the sand dividing the Ontario Parks sandy beach from the Town of Wasaga Beach controlled sandy beach, and then, the water adjacent to the Town of Wasaga Beach sandy beach will still be under the control of the province providing even more confusion. The entire stretch of sandy beach should remain under the control of Ontario Parks.
