Under Provincial Parks management, it is 21 dollars to park at beach 1 or 2. A parks pass can also be used. I would hope that these costs would remain the same and a new pass would be available. Or honour the ontario parks pass. Otherwise these beaches wouldnt be truly available to the public in this transfer. I oppose this transfer of our beaches. It is obviously being done for economic gain, to create more damaging climate change, to make life harder and more expensive for Ontarians. Developing a natural wonder (the longest freshwater beach) and ruining the shoreline is going to cost us all. We must think of the future. Leave it the way it is. We dont need more concrete surrounding a natural environment meant to cool us off. Wasaga beach has its own charm. And we know any new jobs created wont be going to locals or even Canadians so we cant use that as a gain. All of Wasaga beach must stay under provincial jurisdiction. Its pristine beauty must be preserved and not be commodified otherwise we will have nothing left. It will be another los angeles or miami or mexico city. It wont be Canadian and will lose its tourist appeal. It will lose its uniqueness and be like every other polluted and over run beach in the name of economic growth and global tourism. Lets keep it beautiful.
