The current provincial parkland and Beach 1 and 2 is used by so many people from other parts of the province and many of our new Canadians. As our population increases with higher density housing, families need properly cared for green spaces and parklands to enjoy. These spaces need to be protected and cared for by our provincial and federal governments to ensure they are kept as these types of spaces. Municipalities cannot afford to keep and maintain these large type of park spaces so it will be developed. The economic development of Wasaga Beach cannot come at a cost of losing parkland, green space and wildlife that people from across the province come to enjoy. After the last greenbelt debacle it is shocking that this government is considering getting rid of such great parkland and green space. The public wants and needs the green space.
