I have concerns about this proposal, specifically how it affects Ontario piping plover habitat. These beautiful birds are already an endangered species, and this proposal puts a very important nesting area for them in danger. These birds returned to Wasaga's beaches in 2007 after a 30 year absence, and since then numbers have grown thanks to protection of their habitat. This proposal puts all of that effort in jeopardy and threatens the wildlife that helps make Wasaga beautiful and unique. I hope this proposal will be reconsidered due to the damage it will inevitably cause to not just plover nesting habitat, but also to the all of the delicate ecosystems of the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park.
