There should most definitely be an open hunting season on these menacing birds. They destroy many habitats including land, islands, waterways, and baitfish. I have seen these birds destroy any and all vegetation on islands in and around Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching as well as Georgian Bay and many of its contributaries.
They are nothing but a nuisance and need to be dealt with heavily and swiftly.
