Hi there,
I wanted to get in touch about the Amendment to the Devil's Glen Park Management Plan, as I am beyond excited that you have added rock climbing as a permitted activity in the Park.
I have been a climber for over 15 years, and it is a huge part of my life. It is often the main reason I travel, meaning that climbing access greatly impacts my holidays (and tourism spending). I live in Peterborough, but spend at least a dozen weekends in the Beaver Valley each year to rock climb, as it offers some of the oldest and most unique rock climbing in the province.
I own an outdoor gear & clothing store, and many of our staff are part of Ontario's incredible climbing community. Rock Climbing is a source of joy, and also contributes to our livelihoods in the outdoor industry. We are strong advocates for land preservation, stewardship in outdoor sport, and recreational access.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for including rock climbing in this amendment.
