Climbing is an amazing activity that enhances the enjoyment of a natural area, not take away from it. The places that I have explored because of climbing have opened up an entire new world for me. Places I would have never visited without climbing, including Devil’s Glen and the Red River Gorge to name two. Climbing in Ontario is done respectfully and can successfully coexist along other activities like hiking, cross country skiing, biking, etc. The climbing community understands how fortunate we are to have access to areas like Devil’s Glen and it is not taken lightly.
