I absolutely do not support the hunt of the double crested cormorants. I think it is based off of loose science, immoral standards and in favour of non-native fisheries that provide revenue for the government. Meanwhile this bird is a native species. Some people complain about them because of the “impact” they have on trees but this is simply the circle of life in nature. They create homes and ecosystems for other organisms to take up and just because humans don’t like it does mean the cormorants should pay the price.
