At a time when environmental issues are at a critical mass, and that we are being asked to consider our environmental impacts, it’s seems highly hypocritical for the government to be entertaining such a massive invasion of our natural resources, especially one that is NOT easily renewable without chemical intervention. We should never be Jeopardizing the very sustenance we need to live. I am not in favour of any installation or permit that risks our water supplies in any way. There is no guarantee or price that can be paid to assure the residents and users that what they are doing is safe.

Surely the applicant could be required to install their own water treatment system to allow them to hold a reserve, clean what they use for their operating requirements and recycle it for another day. This should NOT become a burden for current or future generations.
