I oppose the reduction in protections on endangered and at risk species, as well as the destruction of their homes and the greenspaces in general. Developing sensitive habitats into large housing/residential spaces that are expensive does not solve the housing crisis, the living communities issues (can't live near where you work) and reduces valuable greenspace which benefits all living things. We should be pioneers in protection, showing how much we want to work with this wonderful land we are on, and ensure it's available and beneficial to generations after us, not destroying it. We need long term plans for living, not short term plans that benefit the few. Once it's gone to development it's not coming back. We need to reinstate the Advisory Committee, and all permits should be available to have public comment as we ALL live here and are impacted by development and species destruction.
