This is a very necessary decision to control the population of cormorants. As a person who has watched over the last 10 years,the cormorants breed unchecked, destroy all vegetation in the areas that they live and feed en masse, I fully support the need to manage their population numbers.
I do not support the carcasses being left to rot or float away.
I am also not sure of the need for a nine month hunting season. I believe that 4 to 6 months would suffice.
