I am an elderly cyclist in Toronto. Bike lanes allow me to do errands and get to appointments with ease. If a driver hits a cyclist, that ruins both of our days!
Even the governments own experts recognize that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock: this argument is a straw man.
Despite the government’s attempts to continue to ruin the environment by increasing the number of cars on the road, the writing is on the wall: bike lanes reduce accidents.
Finally: municipal governments are in charge of bike lanes and the government needs to stay in its own lane!
