This proposal is vindictive and senseless. The government is ignoring all evidence that bike lanes are GOOD for congestion as well as being environmentally friendly and increasing safety for all. This decision flies in the face of evidence and common sense. The purpose of government should be to make people’s lives better. This policy will make people’s lives worse, it will make cities worse and it will only worsen the problems it purports to address. If the Ontario Conservatives have a single ounce of public service or concern or actual seriousness about the job they have been tasked with, they will stop with these destructive, counterproductive and entirely performative bills.
