It will be embarrassing for us as one of the largest, most resourced countries in the world if we keep losing species. Why don’t we actually focus on improving the efficacy of government agencies and offices, rather than this dull hatchet short cut that won’t improve anything for Ontarioans in the short term and will cost our children and grandchildren in the long term. Keep the species conservation act and protections as they are, and keep all the species on the list until the numbers actually improve.
