Trying to enact these changes will likely lead to a lot of litigation. I would much rather my tax dollars go toward balancing conservation of nature while enabling sustainable development than on lawyer fees in cases we are likely to lose and have to respect nature anyway. I do not think this considers Indigenous rights and how species will be conserved in the long-term.
