This is a foolish act based on the mistaken notion that Queen's Park and central government "knows best" when a local government should be making decisions like this. In our area many of the roads were built in the 1970s, 80s and 90s when overbuilding was the norm and four lane roads were often put in place just in case future expansion might require it. As an active senior, avid cyclist and committed voter I strongly object to this legislation and will be voting against any "Progressive" Conservative candidate in our riding. Something that the current premier has no understanding of is that active seniors have good and long memories and outlive inactive ones (like him) and will vote for many more years into the future.
