I am surprised to see this bill after the judiciary ruled against similar regulation in bill 212. But one of the aspects I find particularly bad, meaning bad legislation, is that it assumes our roads are good as is. In fact, many roads are in neighborhoods which have changed. Sure, sometimes roads seem to be to small for the traffic load, but others are in areas which have become denser, more stores, more of a need to slow it down, make it a street not a mini through way. And yes, I understand people and commuting preferences change yoo, so the bus or the lrt or the ( gasp) bicycle and bike take on more importance than when the road was constructed.
Let local governments use their local senses to determine if the road merits changes
Thanks
