As a regular biking commuter to work, in addition to health benefits, there are countless other benefits biking lanes facilitate: taking less space on transit, deep savings (cars cost about $1,300/month to drive), less pollution, and more. For advanced, more caring cities, we need legislation that protects citizens' right to low cost, climate-friendly transportation. The argument they cause worse congestion is false, a red herring, since construction is to blame for much of the problem. Calling on all elected officials to ensure the safety of cyclists who create a better future for all and save our
cycling network of bike lanes.
